The Beach at Night

One day he asked what the was like at night... so we went! First we had an adventure in someone else's huge castle. The flashlights really helped!
Then we took a walk down the pier. They love this even though mom was a bit nervous.
At the very end of the pier a man caught a baby shark. Daddy got to hold it and the children touch it. It was very cool!

Family Traditions - USS North Carolina

Each year we stop by the Battleship in Wilmington on the way down to Little River. This year she rememebered and asked about going before we left. We actually had to stop on the way home because we were late leaving home... but it was still cool!

It's a bird... it's a plane...

NO its Bibleman and Biblegirl!!!! The super poses and
the action shots.
The serious-ready-for-action Biblegirl.
The almost-sad Bibleman.
FYI - Bibleman is an action hero that uses scripture to fend off "bad guys". The children have fallen for him... hard!! It is so nice to see him grow to like action figures with out weapons...well he has a sword but its for self defense. Biblegirl is by his side helping with the adventures. Check it out at bibleman.com.

Fifth and Final Swim Meet

Last night was our fifth and final swim meet (we have to miss the last one). It has been a fun learning experience! She has developed at an amazing speed! I will miss the $3 meal deals almost as much as they will!
Actually, the children will miss the candy selection... see grandma we buy some for them too!
LOOK, LOOK she swam her event without a helper!!!! She told me a week or two ago that she didn't need one. I knew she didn't but kept quiet because I liked the idea of someone there with her! But they finally caught on and boy was she proud. Daddy asked if she heard him cheering and she said "no, there were soo many people cheering for me!"
In between her events, she stubbed her toe pretty bad and wasn't able to do the last one. She was ok with that because daddy was there to care for her boo boo with rainbow band aids! Before you worry... it wasn't hurt bad enough that daddy couldn't take them to the playground before leaving. I stayed until the end volunteering...it lasted until 9:45 mostly because the other team was 3 times our size!

Fourth Swim Meet

What a great way to spend our anniversary! This week's meet was at another pool. It was different but fun!
She was a bit anxious about the high platform...
and swimming in 9 feet of water! She really did understand the difference. Her first question made me think... she asked if her helpers could touch! Well no! But it was all fine once she jumped in!
Her friend's parents brought a TV to help him...but you can see who really enjoyed it!
This community center had a nice "park" and we just had to stop and play!
It was a wonderful evening!
