Carving Pumpkins

Daddy helped brother and big sis carve their pumpkins last night. We do not celebrate Halloween but like to have lots of fun in the fall! They have been wanting to do this since we got the pumpkins. Now that the weather is finally cooler, I think they'll survive better! Waiting patiently for daddy to collect the supplies.

Cleaning them out. While doing this big sis compared it to Jesus cleaning the sin from our hearts! Isn't that awesome!

Brother thought it was cool!

They gave very specific directions for the design...

and daddy deliverd! WOW that's impressive!

Happy Fall Ya'll

Preschool Fall Festival

Brother's preschool does so many wonderful activities for the children. Today was no exception! They held their anual Fall Festival. He doesn't go on Fridays...but we did today...for awhile anyway! Lil sis has been playing with the camera bag too much lately and I've lost my extra battery...SO I only got 2 pictures :(!!!
However, his favorite activity was the big slide and I got that!!!

He helped me make some adorable pumpkin cupcakes for his class party. I didn't get any pictures of the children having fun but I did get the cupcake!

Spirit Week

We've got the spirit, yes we do!
We've got the spirit, how about you?
Tonight is Homecoming for NRCA so all week the whole school has had spirit week. Each day had a different theme...this year was very interesting but we did it!Day 1 - Neon
Thank you Justice!

Day 2 - Camouflage
Thank you ebay!

Day 3 - Mismatched
Well she finally wore Patsey Aiken again :)!

Day 4 - Animal Planet
Mommy kept it tame for Student of the Month pictures :)!

Day 5 - School Colors - Navy & Gold
We made a very cute NRCA ribbon that didn't make it home :(
It is fun to be a part of a K-12 school and enjoy school spirit to the fullest!

I added this super cute one last...lil sis has been waking up super early this week and watching big sis pose...this morning she joined in - on her own!
How sweet is that?!?!

Student of the Month

"This student does what is asked immediately, completely, and willingly. The attitude is positive and the spirit is pleasant. There is respect for teachers and other students. First time obedience is shown throughout the day. This student is a hard worker and has nice manners." That was how big sis' teacher describe our darling today. We were so very proud of her! I get a little teary just reading it. Each month one student is selected from each class for representing the character trait. Big sis won Student of the Month for October's trait of obedience!! She was recognized today in their weekly chapel and gets to eat lunch with the elementary principal tomorrow in the Student Life Center. She is super excited! Lil sis was happy to see daddy!

Yes, they are praying while I'm snapping...the camera was on auto and I held it for a long time before it took.

Ok, how many 15 month old's have enough talent to dance to "Trust and Obey"? It was awesome. She was having such a wonderful and quiet time! Look there is big sis with her class...she had no idea we were all behind her!

Leaving her row as her name was called.

Returning to her seat...she missed us at first but her teacher kindly told her we were there and she came back to sit with us while other children were recognized.

Showing Aunt Anne Marie and telling her about the special lunch she will have on Friday.

Our Student of the Month!

Our Happy Family!

After school, grandma treated us to a special ice cream snack! YUM! Who would have ever guessed that our ice cream would melt in late October?

Brother was so proud...he even missed a special event in his preschool to come see her!

My loves!

Fun at the Mall

The mall is one of mommy's favorite places! Since the children have been in preschool they have not really gotten to go to often. Well the last couple of months the play area has become a favorite place for brother. Today we went for lil sis' 15 month pictures (went didn't go well at all!!) and had a blast! While things didn't go as I had planned it was a fun outing. While eating lunch I got a little choked up looking at brother thinking that in less than a year I won't have fun mornings like this with him...he'll be in school all day! WOW! This made me realize just how precious our mornings together really are! I love spending time with my boy and watching him be the best big brother ever!!!

Granny got the children a Hallmark Frosty to have at our house - they always love hers at Christmas. Well lil sis really likes him! She was dancing with him this morning!
