Swim Meet #2

Swim meet #2 started very, very hot and never really got under way. Thunder rolled as soon as the first swimmers got in place...1hour and 15 minutes later it was delayed. Wednesday was a much cooler day! Here are some warm up shots. How cute they were together!

She got to swim up with some older girls to fill a relay team...she was a bit nervous but did really well!

Getting ready for his very first main event!

Finishing THIRD in his first main event! YEAH!!!

Lil sis hung in there the whole night...even after being tipped over in her stroller. What a scary accident! She looked much better the next morning!!

MHC Marlins

Daddy and brother took in some baseball. The Marlins are part of the Coastal Plain League ( part of the College Wooden Bat League) and new to the area. They had a ball...ha! Brother was selected to race Fins around the bases. What a perfect choice! He was so proud!!

On your mark,

get set,

GO!!!!

Granddaddy joined the fun too.

The next day there was a Meet the Marlins at the beach. Brother was very excited...a few are Pirates!

This is a precious shot of him taking it all in. The highlight was one player catching a seagull. He tells the story so well! Here is a summary: he laid in the sand, was covered with a towel, food was placed on the towel, once the gulls came to get the food, he wrapped it up! Impressive but most likely a lucky first try!

Big sis and grandma joined them later in the week.

Go Marlins!

Beaufort NC

On night, we took the children to mommy's home townn of Beaufort. I can remember walking the boardwalk with my parents and grandparents as a child so it was nice that my parents and brother could join us.

Pool Days

We took a few days to just chill at the pool. Even lil sis was practicing kicking her feet!

The waterslide is a huge hit....thanks Aunt Anne Marie!

Little Miss Independent

Lil sis and mommy hung out in the shade...not quite ready for the slide!

NC Aquarium

One of the things the children look forward to at the beach is the aquarium. Lil sis was fun to watch this trip! It is lots of fun but a bit more crowded in June!!

Atlantic Beach 2010

We took our family beach trip to Atlantic Beach again this year. It is so much fun but a little weird vacationing where we grew up! We could not have ordered better weather! Looks like lil sis is a beach baby like the others! Here is a glimpse of the fun we had. Surfing with daddy!

Melts.My.Butter.

Glow braclets and flashlights just call for a night walk on the beach.
Being so close to the "home" allowed the children to visit with their grandparents some.

Looking for minnows with Grandma.

Shells with Granny.

Jumping waves with Granddaddy.
Granddad Foster didn't make it out to the beach but we did visit with him as well as Aunt Anne Marie, Uncle Lewis and Aunt Jennie!

Roly Poly Beach Baby!!! LOVE HER!!!!

One day big sis and brother enjoyed the sand together for a long time! They truly are best buddies!

Lil sis had to go see what they were doing after awhile!

Tackling daddy in the surf.

We've never had a crawler at the beach...interesting!

My babies!!

She was not scared one ounce!

She communicates so well...this pose means "I've had enough!"

She was not as into the "beach box" as the other were (and big sis still is!).

More butter melting!

These two have a sweet bond. He is so wonderful...just like daddy!
Can you see the black eye? He was playing catcher and the ball got him good!

Tried sand and like it so ate more...oh my!

My darlings!

He saw one of his friends do this (in a picture!) and wanted to try!

Princess

I just think this needs to be in an ad for something...
