Namesake

Each of our children's names has special meaning. 

Brother was named after a young man who went to live with Jesus at a young age. 

He made strong impressions on others in his short life. 

Our prayer is that brother will follow the path the Lord has laid for him and know how very special he is every single second!!  I just know big things are in store for our boy!

Recently, he recieved a package (via Aunt Anne Marie!) of autographed memorabilia from family members of his namesake.  How cool!! We've wanted to take a picture like this since he was a baby but how neat to wait until he's old enough to truly understand and appreciate these items!!

Easter Musical

Today was lil sis' first Easter Musical at preschool. She LOVES music and is always singing!

She was very excited for this program and enjoyed hanging with Granny and Granddaddy before the performance.  (Note: No, momma did not pick out the Snow White dress...but she insisted and I pick my battles carefully!!)

She was adorble walking in looking for her family.

And showing daddy her dress.

After the children (3 two year old classes) sang a few songs they marched around the room with palm branches...precious!!!

Special

Today's lil sis' class was having an Easter Party...so of course she wanted to wear a dress.

Luckily I took a picture in the morning before we went in because both batteries were out by party time.  She just beamed when I got there too! 

While big sis was practicing with the praise team we took in the fresh air!

These two has such a special relationship.  They hold hands and share "I Love Yous" without being prompted...truly heart warming!!

Wolfpack

This post is dedicated to a sweet angel that enjoyed watching this daddy/daugther date unfold.

Big sis developed an interest in NC State through a sweet friend who has Wolfpack genes!  Being the awesome daddy and Tar Heel that he is, he has encouraged this instead of squash it like brother would like to do!!!

He tried several times to get her to a basketball game and thankfully they made the NIT and they got to go.  I can only imagine the shouts of joy from above when he actually bought her a shirt! 

We are very proud of her confidence and desire to follow her heart and not others.

She was thrilled to meet the mascot!!!

Makes us smile to know all the meaning behind her selecting this team!!

LC Women's Basketball

Daddy took the older two children to Louisburg College to watch the women's basketball team play in the Region X conference championship game.

Brother cheering for his Canes as the win the championship and

watches as they take down the net.  Pretty cool thing for our little sports fan to watch!!

This player saw brother and remembered posing with him a few years ago (who could forget that heart melting smile?!?!)

As if the title win wasn't enough, he got play full court with them older sibling and players!

Big sis has a friend who come the games with her AD dad and they enjoy hanging out!

It was like old times sending the off with daddy...only momma wasn't home with a baby but a lil sis who is almost old enough to join them!!!!!

Basketball Season

Big sis and brother both played basketball this winter...at same time in different locations.  This kept us busy and entertained!  They both really enjoyed playing!!

Big sis played at her school with 1st & 2nd grade girls just like last year.  She has improved a lot but the best part for me was watching her skip down the court between plays. She was just happy to be out there playing!!! GO KNIGHTS!!!

The Ladybugs

Brother was not able to play at school so we found an Upward team for him and oh boy did he enjoy this experience!  He is just such a team player and really enjoys all sports!!

Not as many pictures of him (or her) because they move too fast for my camera!!

The church where he played had a nice cermony for the children at the end of the season.

He enjoyed his food and time with this teammates again.



I think he enjoyed cheering for others as much if not more than recieving his award.

His coach had nothing but good comments for him all season...parents are allow pride right?!?!
