Field Trip

Big sis' class had a field trip to our favorite museum...momma and lil sis got to tag along.

She was happy to be there with her friends!

Lil sis was so looking forward to the butterflies. I don't think she's ever stood so still for so long as she did when we first arrived  and she wanted one to land on her.  Of course none would.

But one of big sis' friends got one to land on her and she was kind enough to let lil sis get a closer look.  She was not too sure about it...I can only imagine what the butterfly must have thought!

The dinosaur dig is always a hit!!

It was so nice to see my girls playing together!

Spring Baseball

Spring baseball has begun...today was brother's first game!

That smiles says it all!!!

Happy Easter

Easter Morning started as everyday should with

chocolate and

God's word!!!

What a beautiful day to celebrate our risen Lord!!!

Big sis wanted to pose with the flowers...feeling a little grown up I think!!

Then lil sis tried and almost pulled the branch off!!

After church we hung out on the playground a bit taking in the glorious day!!

Praise Team!

Our church offers an amazing VBS experience... 500 + children!

Part of the production is the Praise Team.  This is a group of 20 children that sing the VBS Praise Song during assembly.  Big sis has admired them since her very first VBS.

It is reserved for 3rd - 5th graders but this year there were a few spots for 2nd graders!

She is enjoying forming stronger bonds with other girls/boys at church.

They did their first performance at the church's spring event.

Very excited to sing but not for momma to have the camera out...must be more discrete!

It is always moving to hear children sing praise songs!!! 

After her performance we enojoyed the other festivities.

The Easter story was shared with the child before they hunted eggs.  Amazing!

Mudcats!

Tonight was opening night for the Mudcats and brother was super excited!!

Big sis was also excited but maybe for different reasons?!?!

She is her momma's girl!

He most likely had it memorized before leaving the game without missing one play.

I just love watching how much he is like his daddy!

I see many nights at Five County Stadium this summer!

Kindergarten Spring Party

Today was brother's Spring Party (seems like last month we were there for big sis'!).

He was super excited and totally in his element playing with his friends.  He has a sweet class and as you will notice from the pictures, he prefers to play with a few girls.  They are so cute because the girls run, tackle and play hard!!!  I love that he picks his friends without reguard to gender...well maybe some but look at this cutie he really likes to play with!!!!

Horseback Riding

After watching the horses at the end of our street since birth...big is started riding lessons at the stables today.  She was beside herself with joy!  It is fun to view life through the eyes of a child!!

More to come I'm sure...she was not happy I had pulled the camera out!!!

Story Time

When brother and big sis were toddlers/preschoolers I met some awesome momma friends and we were regulars at the public library, parks and Chick-fil-A.

Sadly lil sis has not had these same experiences...until today!

We met a few preschool friends at the library for story time, followed by a park, then lunch inside (she knows the drive thru!) Chick-fil-A!!!  It  was so fun to do this with her and brought back so many happy memories! 

She really like story time and sat for most of the books and participated in all of the songs!

She loves being outside and climbing so new parks are great!!!

I had such a fantastic day with my baby girl!!!

Family Time

Our anual Foster Family Egg Hunt was today and fun was had by all!!

This is a tradition the children talk about all year.  They do enjoy hunting for treats but playing with cousins and getting to know them is the best part!!!
