Jesus in her heart!

We are proud of our children for too many reasons to list. However, I we are most proud of her understanding of Jesus. She totally understands that he is God's son and that even though we don't see him... He IS REAL!!!! On Saturday, she drew a heart and wrote Jesus in it (or her own version of Jesus!). She said that was because Jesus lives in her heart. Later in the day I was out shopping and found the t-shirt she is wearing below - how could I resist! This week we are going to VBS at our church. She asked me why so many children come... I told her the quick version as it was bedtime... she said she would wear her new t-shirt to let all the children know that Jesus was in her heart! She is amazing!!! And of course if she was wearing a special shirt... I had to find him one! This one captures them perfect... her sweet smile and his silly, cheesey grin.
Oh how he LOVES his big sister!
I am not quite sure what I must have said here but I got really good effort :)!!

Second Swim Meet

Yes, you will get to see them all :)! She did so well again! Brother is soooo proud!

STAND BACK...

the boy has wheels of his own! He has been wanting to ride her bike for awhile. SO daddy "restored" a bike grandma had in her garage ( and did a darn fine job!). He was so excited to have a bike and helmet of his own!


Due to his early wake up time, he had plenty of alone time to practice!

First Swim Meet

Tuesday was our neighborhood's first swim meet. She was picked to swim all three heats for her age. She was so anxious all day but had a blast once we got going. She loved hearing the crowd cheer for her... I was a bit nervous the oposite might happen!

We took a break to enjoy the consessions... pizza is always a winner for us!
Staying out of the pool was hard for the boy... but daddy got creative!
High Fives all around for our little swimmer! We are so proud!!

Ready, Set... Tackle!

With preschool out, the early heat, potty training, and gas prices we have spent lots of hours at home recently. Their new favorite pass time... tackling! He is so strong we often have to wait for Daddy! He just lays down and says "tackle me!"

Usually she stops first because he is so rough but yesterday he wanted to stop!

A good book settles us back down!

Tea Party

On Saturday, we attend a tea paryt with some friends from church. It was so neat. There were six girls with their moms. The girls had a chance to dress up and have pink lemonade... and huge yellow cupcakes.

Summer Fun!!

We are beating the heat by staying home and swimming! The results have been amazing! She has gotten two ribbons in just under 2 weeks of swim team!
He has mastered the potty in just days! I can hardly describe how well he has done. His face looks so pitiful in this picture because he is loosing sleep. He actually wakes up at night (3:45!)and doesn't nap as well because he wakes to potty! Now I am wondering what I have done! He has never needed much at night and I relied heavy on those 3 hour naps for all of our sanity!
