Our Little Party Hoppers

We count our friends as one of our many, many blessings. It is so awesome to watch the children grow close to their friends as they get older. This weekend we had 3 very special friends celebrate birthdays in 3 very FUN ways. On Friday, we went to a paint your pottery place. It was fun... look at her admiring his concentration! The pizza next door was fantastic as well!

On Saturday, on of his best little buddies (or should I say budets) from preschool and church celebrated her third birthday. It was planned to be outside but her smart mommy moved it to the church gym when the forecast called for rain and storms.

She has a huge bounce house, cotton candy machine, tatooes and loads of fun!! This was the afternoon event and notice he changed his shirt? Not because the first was dirty but because this was a Mickey Mouse themed party and he wanted his Mickey Mouse shirt.

Our morning celebration was at the Musuem of Natural Sciences downtown. They were excited about this because they love the animals... and of course the birthday boy!! This photo was taken at the end of the party. Most children were getting restless and ready but these too very bright children went back to the flannel board and retold the story just like the leader had done with the group. She read the story and he placed the animals up as she read!! How sweet!!

Who knew the animals would be so cute!!!! Happy Birthday to our 3 special friends!!!

Waiting for the Lamb!

Well March has come in like a lion for us and we are waiting for it to leave like a lamb! Since I posted last we have done so much. Here are some photos to represent part of the fun! Going to the museum on a warm, sunny day with daddy.

On top of all of the weekend fun we have cleared the attic out and workers have made tremdenous progress on her princess room aka the third floor.

Bowl-A-Rama FUN!

Grandma made a donation to SAFECHILD for daddy's birthday. We used it to participated in their anual Bowl-A-Rama. It was a ton of fun again this year! She got a medal for her good form. It was very cute.... she kind of twisted her body and throw the ball.

The food spread was also a big hit!!

He had the cutest celebration... after every throw he threw his arms up like he had a strike!! We had a fun family night while supporting an organization we feeling strongly about. Check them out SAFECHildNC.org.

Today was a wonderful day to be a parent! Our daughter decided shortly before her 5th birthday that she wanted to ask Jesus into her heart. We celebrated with her and met with our pastor. After talking to him, we knew she was ready for this big step in life. Today she went forward after the service and made a public profession! She was a bit timid but all smiles once she realized what she had done!! We are so proud of her and know she is going to live a strong, christian life!!!!

What a wonderful day!! We spent 30 minutes looking at our littlest daughter!!! Yes, it's a GIRL!!! We had no preferences - just a healthy baby!! So we feel very blessed that she is healthy and we can call her a girl not it!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Ahh... Valentine's Day. We have never made a huge deal over it around here. We love each other every day and try to show it always. Yes, I will admit the dozen red roses on the counter are beautiful and make me smile! However, this year the excitement has been much higher waiting for Valentines Day to come or should I say for their class parties to come!!!! How did he eat that RED cupcake and not get one drop of icing on him? That is talent!!

His party was on Friday ( not a school day for us) so we all went for the fun. She was such a good helper!

She invited me to come to her class party on Thursday. How could I say no to that sweet face?

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

On Saturday, we celebrated daddy's birthday on an almost spring like day. We had lunch at one of his favorite places - India Garden and played at a cool new park on land that used to be in his family. She loved the freedom and fresh air!

On Friday, we wrapped a few of his presents... she picked out a dog movie (Space Buddies) and he picked out a football one - go figure!!

The yogurt container is a give away that the children don't actually eat the Indian food except for the rice! The huge smile is a give away of all the FUN we had!

We started the day with presents! They were so proud to help daddy!
