First Day Excitment!

Oh First Grade is so much FUN and big sis is beginning that journey today!

She is super excited about being back at school. We had a wonderful summer break but it is time to get back into a routine again...6:30 was really early this morning!!! Cinnamon buns are her special day breakfast of choice so of course we started our day with one.

I pray she has another wonderful school year, that her love for her Lord continues to grow and that she stays healthy!! We are so very thankful for the joy she brings to our family!!

NC ZOO in August

We spent big sis' last weekday of summer at the NC Zoo. What a fun day. The heat was not too bad and all the children had so much fun!

We stopped near the back gorilla window for a snack and this one came over to watch us!

She was sweet licking the glass as if to kiss us or try to eat our snacks.

This was very cool!!

There are really neat play areas for the children. We spent over a hour just playing and hanging out together. Great times!

We just love to climb on the statues...lil sis even joined in this trip!

This was a new area they really enjoyed. The chalkboard paint is amazing stuff!

Our First Grader!

WOW! Its hard to believe we have our very own first grader! She is super excited for first grade to start. It has been a great summer but the time has come! She is so independent. We took a little gift for her teacher and she went alone to introduce herself and give the gift. Mommy and Daddy were so very proud! I feel God's hand all over her classroom. The friends there she already knows and the teacher. I am smiling thinking of the fun adventures we have in store this year! She would not pose with her teacher but did stop outside for a few shots!

Grandma and Granny came up for a few days this week! Oh the fun we had!

Special Game

As mentioned in an earlier post, daddy and brother have been noticed by the voice of the Mudcats for their special bonding time at games. They were invite up to watch some of the game from the radio broadcast booth this week. Big sis thought she might join the fun.

After a super fun weekend brother was very tired...this is how I found him when I peaked in before I went to bed. How sweet is that! I think he likes his new baseball!
