Egg Hunt 2011

Today was our fifth anual Foster Family Spring Egg Hunt.

Lil sis was sleeping soundly when it was time to start but daddy insisted that we wake her...momma thought puttting eggs out later and taking pictures would have been just fine. Oh well I enjoyed the snuggles as she woke up!

I need to dig around and find the very first years picture...brother had just started walking!

Because two is better than on ?!?

Ok, this was her first time and she caught on very fast!

Watching cousins and siblings scurry around helps!

Yep, big sis found David's money egg...she was all so proud!

Checking out the loot!

After a yummy Amante Pizza lunch they children played a bit then off to brother's baseball game! It is so nice to share such a special holiday with family.

Field Trip to Museum

Today big sis and I spent the day together...rare treat! We went with her class to the museum and a park while daddy had adventures with the other two. What a fun day!

The museum does awesome birthday parties and even better class trips. The lady was great with the children really let them see the animals! Investigating the bear fur...

listening...

petting a hedgehog...

a chinchilla...

watching a rabbit...

and lots of rats!

After learning tons more about mammals we went to a park closer to school for a picnic, sweet treat and games. I didn't take more pictures because she was being little Miss Independent and requested me not take any more!!

Well just one :)!!

I enjoyed the time with just my big girl!!

Tornados

Our state was hit with rough weather today! I have never been calm in bad weather but as a parent I have too! These storms were predicted so we sort of knew they were coming...just not how bad. When the day was done, we are so blessed to be safe in our home! We gathered the children quickly in the hall after this...
then moved to the bathroom for over an hour. We prayed, played and sang. All things considered the children were awesome...daddy even joked there might be room for one more in there..ha!! The biggest earthly helper through this was our NOAA weather radio. This alerted us as to were the tornados were. Priceless! Once the storm passed the Carolina blue skies appeared and we couldn't believe how beautiful everything was and how quiet the bathroom kept things. We never heard anything yet there was deris in our yard brought from miles away.

The chidren were curious about the tree (actually a very large branch!) so we ventured outside. It was sort of a science/weather lesson for them.

I was so thankful my family was spared and that He gave me peace and strength throughout the entire afternoon! Still praying for those in a different aftermath!

Look at the cool gadget to practice hitting a ball...much better than fetching!!
On second base ready for third!
Playing the field with such concentration!
Climbing the fence? Heilo?!?
The girls had a great time playing on the playground!

Easter Program

As mentioned in previous posts, our children attend a Christ centered preschool. This is especially awesome this time of the year. How special to hear children sing about the resurrection of our Savior without a bunny in sight!!!!! Family waiting to see brother's last preschool preformance...thinking about this brought tears to my eyes! He has been blessed with fantastic teachers and so many wonderful experiences! He has been prepared for K but most importantly for life!

So glad he's not the last child going through this wonderful place! Lil sis was having a bit of trouble waiting patiently...trying to swing on the back of a pew just before
laying in the floor and declaring "night, night."
Big sis got out of school early to come see his performance and enjoyed her grandmothers attention.
Here come the stars...love that handsome boy!!

The sisters had a blast watching brother...the lollipops helped!
Handsome Boy...the Troy hair is growing on me!!
Then mommy decided a picture was in order...big task! But look at the true love I captured!

Brother loves his sisters!

I just know he will be as good of a daddy (and husband!) as his own dad is!
Grandma treated us to a sweet treat after the show!

Pet Day

Today was Pet Day for big sis' class. She was very excited to have Zooables come to school and meet her friends. Her friends were thrilled to meet Zooables!!!

There were lots of dogs, a cat, an ant farm and Zooables. The children were very curious.

Oh how she wanted to take him out...but she listened to mommy!
Lil sis had a big time too!

She loves dogs but rarely gets to pet one...our Geli is not big on little people!

This guy can just come home with us! Very good dog!!

It was a lot of fun coming to school with Zooables!
