Our Ladybug is TWO!!!

Everybuggy join us for bubbles, treats and play

to celebrate a very special day!!!

Today we celebrated lil sis' second birthday.

Birthdays are big fun at our house and I think she got that it was all about her.

Her namesake has been on our hearts a lot lately so we used a few things she liked to help us celebrate....ladybugs and Tootsie Rolls!

The celebration was held at some beautifully open property our church owns not too far from home. As I began to plan my first ever outside party I thought about rain but the fact that we'd be in the middle of record breaking heat didn't really cross my mind. I mean its July I knew it would be hot but not triple digits!!!!

Cute sign marking the driveway!
This is a new shelter and it was very clean!

There was plenty of shade and friends for a fun morning celebrating our sweet ladybug!

Lil sis loves to swing and

play with dump trucks!!

Plenty of water and juice helped eased the heat.

Actually the shade and great fellowship made it managable!

Wagons Rides...thanks to a really good daddy!!

Our silly birthday girl had so much fun!!!

She was very, very excited for more "happy cake!"

This chokes me up...my princesses love each other so!

Of course she picked a red one,

and of course she got it everywhere!

She even stopped for a "candy" aka Tootsie Roll!

Sweet Kisses for friends!

And, yes that would be "happy cake" number two...thanks grandma!!

My little swingers!!

This was just after noon when our friends left. I try not to post other people's children on this to respect privacy but there were 15 or so children with parents that came in this heat to celebrate with us...that is awesome!!!

Our ladybug had a big morning. I took her shirt of because of the red icing (and heat!) and she was out within minutes of the van moving!

We had such a fun time celebrating our sweet, sweet girl!!!

For this child I prayed... 1 Samuel 1:27

Celebrating at Camp

This summer the children and mommy have been having fun at camp. Our church has a wonderful program and fun has been had by all!! Well as I was preparing for lil sis' birthday she saw the cake box and started walking around asking for "happy cake"...smart of her to put things together because I had explained to her I was getting ready for her birthday and brother has been helping her sing the happy birthday song. Anyway, I took some batter and made mini "happy cakes" for her friends at camp this week. She was so proud!!!

Yes, read her lips..she's
T.W.O.

She enjoyed her "happy cakes!"

Last Swim Meet!!!

Today was the last swim meet of the 2011 season!

I think I get as excited for the last as I do the first.

It is a wonderful experience for the children but just plain hot!!!

I was an awesome season....Division Champs again!!!

Lil sis cooled off before hand while showing Granny her new trick...yes she jumps by herself and is very pleased to go way under!!!
Picnics are fun too!

Lil sis also mastered the skill of blowing bubbles in her drink this summer...fun stuff!

Between the heat, visiting with grandparents, juggling the children and giving out ribbons I did not get many pictures this week.

So thankful for another fun and safe swim team season!!!

Chevy Baseball Camp

The local Chevy dealers teamed up with the Mudcats to offer a youth baseball camp.

Brother was very excited to participate and work with the players.

Daddy stuck around to capture some of the fun!

He had such a good time and soaks up every single thing he hears!

For me the best part was a few days later he was showing me the silly band style bracelet he got there (in the shape of the Chevy symbol) and told me he liked Ford ...not remembering the sponsors name might be an area for us to work on!!!!!!!!

Swim Meeet #4

Ahh....the tempature was 101 with a heat index of 110 and where were we?

Swim meet #4!

It is a grueling schedule that the children have never, ever complained about!!!

Mommy snapped a few pictures and took lil sis home early (daddy had been doing this but mommy thought she'd go this week ;)!!)
