Hope Reins

Big sis requested to attend horse camp at Hope Reins again this summer and we were glad to support such an amazing organization. She had another awesome experience!

This summer she was assigned one horse to work with all week. Here she is with Esther.
The grounds are just beautiful. God definitely had a plan for this piece of land!
Daddy took her each morning and stuck around on the last day to snap a few shots.

She really enjoyed the chores...picking up poop, cleaning watering cans, gardening...she did happily did each one. Now to have that transfer!!!

One the last day she got to ride each horse...two bare back!

She really enjoyed the interaction with the teen volunteers as well. I was impressed with the number of youth there volunteering their summer in the heat to work with children!

How cool is this? It was made with her footprint...can you see it?

Simply amazing how God can make such beautiful animals!!

Troy has left the house...

Back in December brother decided he didn't want his hair cut so that he could look one of his favorite NFL football players...Troy Polamalu!

Well this style is does not meet the dress code for kindergarten so we had to give it a trim. Actually he asked for it to be way short again and mommy decided to step in and only go half way. I actually really like it just like this!! The wave shows but not too much. He is such a big boy!

Incase the last post made you feel for him...this new Pirate shirt was a treat from Granddaddy while we were at the mall yesterday!!!!

Day Out

Today we went to the mall with Granny and Granddaddy...it appears I haven't been taking them out enough because they had so much FUN!!!

Lil sis enjoyed the "happy cake" hat and continued to sing Happy Birthday to herself!
Well brother was not as impressed with Justice as big sis was!

In the photo booth...saved $5 by having my camera handy.

This is a big reason I haven't switched to a bigger camera!

Big sis posing with a Smurf...doing her best to look sweet and get one...thankfully this was Granny not Grandma and the Smurf is happily in the store!! :)

Fun times were had by all!!!

Never Be One Again

Never Be One Again

Alabama - Moutain Music

Drift off and dream

In your paper-doll world

Play with the presents

From the boys and the girls

Your big day is over

The cake is all gone

We sang you to sleep

With the birthday song.

No, you'll never be one again
the two's are tumbling on in
Daddy's little girl is growing up in this world
You'll never be one again.

The toy piano is quiet in the hall

As Kermie the frog

Sits watching it all

Soon your legs will grow

And make the tricycle go

And take you away from us all.

No, you'll never be one again

The two' are tumbling on in

Daddy's little girl is growing up in this world

You'll never be one again.

Goodnight Baby

Our Ladybug is TWO!!!

Everybuggy join us for bubbles, treats and play

to celebrate a very special day!!!

Today we celebrated lil sis' second birthday.

Birthdays are big fun at our house and I think she got that it was all about her.

Her namesake has been on our hearts a lot lately so we used a few things she liked to help us celebrate....ladybugs and Tootsie Rolls!

The celebration was held at some beautifully open property our church owns not too far from home. As I began to plan my first ever outside party I thought about rain but the fact that we'd be in the middle of record breaking heat didn't really cross my mind. I mean its July I knew it would be hot but not triple digits!!!!

Cute sign marking the driveway!
This is a new shelter and it was very clean!

There was plenty of shade and friends for a fun morning celebrating our sweet ladybug!

Lil sis loves to swing and

play with dump trucks!!

Plenty of water and juice helped eased the heat.

Actually the shade and great fellowship made it managable!

Wagons Rides...thanks to a really good daddy!!

Our silly birthday girl had so much fun!!!

She was very, very excited for more "happy cake!"

This chokes me up...my princesses love each other so!

Of course she picked a red one,

and of course she got it everywhere!

She even stopped for a "candy" aka Tootsie Roll!

Sweet Kisses for friends!

And, yes that would be "happy cake" number two...thanks grandma!!

My little swingers!!

This was just after noon when our friends left. I try not to post other people's children on this to respect privacy but there were 15 or so children with parents that came in this heat to celebrate with us...that is awesome!!!

Our ladybug had a big morning. I took her shirt of because of the red icing (and heat!) and she was out within minutes of the van moving!

We had such a fun time celebrating our sweet, sweet girl!!!

For this child I prayed... 1 Samuel 1:27
