Two Knights

Our children have been blessed with a christian education. This is a path we pray the Lord conintues to provide for them. They are thriving and growing strong in their knowledge and fatih.

I can't even begin to describe the Godly teachers they have each had over the years.

Today was a huge day for brother...the first day of Kindergarten!!

We now have two Knights in the house!!

He was a little nervous but all so excited to able to leave with big sis and daddy.

Big sis was pretty excited to go to second grade as well . She has not one day complained about waking at 6:30 for school...makes us even more thankful!!

Brother is enjoying a traditional cinnamon bun breakfast...yummy!
No words for this...

She was excited for school...but not mommy takimg pictures!

L.O.V.E.

I try to approach each new stage with a thankful heart and see it as the blessing it is. School starting was a happy and exciting time for hte children which made it happy for me too! I was not sad for Brother but relieved at his excitement, thankful for his health, and all the wonderful preschool teachers that had brought him ot this point. I was thankful for the 5 1/2 years I got to just be his mommy. There was some sadness for the preschool stage ending but that didn't compare to the excitement!! I was great until as they were pulling away he pointed to him, pointed to his heart and then to me ( a little "I Love You!" sign language daddy taught him)...this did bring on the tears. They were happy tears, they were sad tears, they were tears of pride...my heart was busting with emotion!

I was thankful we survived the summer!

I just know big things are in store for these two this school year...beyond learning to read and cursive handwriting...Brother is asking amazing questions about being saved, big sister is learning the true power of prayer...these are the real lessons in life!!

Their armour is being strengthened each day!!!

Meet the Teacher

I hardly have the words to write this post. My son is so special. Is it because he is exactly like his the man I love? Is it beause he's my only son? Is it that smile? Is it his compassionate heart?

I think it is all of these that make me love him like no other.

Today we took him to meet his kindergarten teacher. He was so excited. Thankfully he has the same teacher as big sis and we all love her! She was blessed with the gift of a teacher.
I pray that he will always follow his daddy's footsteps straight to his Father.

Giving his teacher a gift...sister bear to complete her Bernstein Bears collection!

Getting his supplies ready for the first day!

My two guys....I love them so!

Yep, its going to be a great year!

The Beach in August

Before the new school year starts we decided to take a long weekend to the beach. This is our favorite place to be. The children have it in their blood I suppose!!
The rip current was dangerous but they got in a bit the first evening...it improve each day!

Oh yes, lil sis loved the beach this trip. Which reminds us of how sick she was in June!

She kept pointing to the ocean and saying "I go out there!"...look closely at her head. Yes, the waves got her but she bounced up and went back for more! So thankful for her spirit!!
When it was really bad, daddy took them out one at a time...here lil sis is calling the waves to come closer to her!!!
Big sis was still really into collecting shells!

These two just love each other period.

I asked them to pose...they did pretty well!
We decided to take a pool break one morning. Look at Brother on the big waterslide alone. He has overcome his fears and just goes full steam ahead!!
Lil sis thought it was a blast as well.
And our oldest has always been so brave ar0und things like this...maybe that's why we are avoiding theme parks!!!

Breakfast on the "porch" is always a hit!
Ahh...the view from the beautiful condo we are blessed enough to be able to stay in.
The salt air is just plain good for you!
On the way out of town we joined Grandma and Aunt Anne Marie for some fun.

Somehow there aren't pictures of big sis...maybe because she was zooming around looking to "win" so she could get a "prize"!!

We had some much need family time away!!!

Kindergarten Picnic

Today brother and mommy had some rare but special time together.

All of the Kindergarten families were invited to a local park for a fun time to meet and play.

Of course he found a ball field!!

Super proud of this little guy! I can hardly believe he is no long a preschooler!

I just know God has big things in store for this awesome boy!!

On the way to pick the girls up from camp, I offered him a choice of lunch...I was not too suprised at his choice...maybe disappointed but not surprised!!!!
