Debut

Today was lil sis' on stage debut at preschool.  She just loves music and we had been practicing the Christmas songs.  The day of the preformance she told me "I not sing!" on the way to preschool.
Well she did an amazing job!

She was so cute walking in looking around.  She had this serious look until she saw daddy.  Oh how I wish I had captured that with my camera.  Thankfully he got it on the video!!

Away in a manger

no crib for a bed
the little Lord Jesus
lay down your sweet head

The stars in the sky
look down where he lay

the little Lord Jesus
asleep on the hay.

Jumping for Joy!!
How very special to here these sweet little voices singing for Jesus!!

Our Angels

Our youngest angel looks like this in the morning when I tell her it a preschool day!!

This is how she looked while waiting for our oldest angel to come on stage.

Brother enjoyed some perks of Aunt Anne Marie's phone...a flashlight!

Big sis (right in the middle looking right at the camera!)
on stage with around 95 other second graders to preform
Miracle on Main Street.
The message was extra special coming from children!

Lil sis really enjoyed the show!

The our oldest angel surprised us.  We knew she was an angel in the show but had no idea there were only four!  She was proudly hush-hush before hand and boy were we impressed.

She was so wonderful singing and

dancing and

more singing!!!

We were so proud of our oldest angel.
She did such an amazing job!!!!

Art

Big sis has always had an eye and interest for art.  Today daddy took her to a special exbit at the NC Museum of Art.  It was Rembrandt's only stop on the east coast.

I think the Audubon books and birds were her favorite!

Taking a little break in the fun!

The Velveteen Rabbit was also a hit for her.  She made some of the crafts available and

they took in a live preformance.  How cool!

Cameras were not allowed in the acutal exhbit so daddy snapped this shot...yes he's good!!

This one is a piece of art itself!!!!!

Gobble, Gobble Round 2

Another family tradition that is anticipated is the gathering at granny and granddaddy's after Thanksgiving.  They host both of thier sides for an oyster roast.  This year granny's three sister and granddaddy's brother and sister joined us.  As I get older, I appreciate these gatherings more and more.  I am even beginning to  enjoy being the youngest!

Granny had already decorated for Christmas and the children really enjoyed checking out all her goods!  Lil sis was able to stay all day without breaking anything!!

It was a glorious day to be outside!!

Lil sis "sliming" Uncle Lewis.

We stayed for the ECU game and changed into our PJ's for the drive home.
We are so thankful that granny and granddaddy continue this tradition.
