Falls Lake

On Saturday, we took a hike to explore around the lake. It was slow going at first- you bears live in the woods! We skipped or should I say threw rocks in the water.
We waded and tossed our boat out for a ride.
The boys take a seat to watch her master the craft of boat throwing. How cute are they?
She did such a great job with the boat and wading in the mud to rescue the boat.

Yes, we got them to take their socks off to get in the water but it didn't take long for them to realize their feet were dirty... funny because I barely rememeber shoes when I played outside as a child!
He tried to shovel water... and look at how much there is! Praise God!!
Their spring time fasination is caterpillars, so finding one at the lake was cool!
Oh yes, a few Little People managed to make the trip as well! He was very disappointed that I wouldn't let them ride in the boat. However, I knew they would be gone and how much that would break his heart.
No trip closes without some drama, right? The boat somehow broke free... but daddy saved the day!

Big Saturday!

Today was a big FUN day for all! She had two birthday parties so we got some "mommy/daughter time"... which is rare! Plus the boys had some "daddy/son time"... also rare! Her first party had a games and an excellent clown. She sat completely still for almost an hour! You may see him at a future Foster birthday party!!
Her second party was at a great park. The weather was perfect and she was so tired on the way home... oh yea we fit in some shopping time too!
My boys dressed in Carolina blue and attended a Dook Spring Football game... yes they proved Tar Heels can enjoy football anywhere! Now who has noticed the spelling error? Yes, its on the field... everyone knows its DOOK not Duke!!!
He picked up some "football language" and got to use it on the field... Ready, Set, GO! Now, now he's only two!

Hat Day Parade

On Monday, she came home from preschool with this cute little hat. Her teacher told me it was for the Hat Day Parade but since she wouldn't be there it was coming on home. I never really thought much (except that I was glad one of her school days wasn't cut 30 minutes short :)!) Then while she was talking to daddy before bed she mentioned that she was one of two children that weren't going to be in the parade in a sad voice... so of course daddy told her she could go and of course I took her. He even got to join his class too! They were so proud and adorable. Its the simple things that mean so much!! The only downside was I forgot my camera... then her teacher sent this today! Yeah!

Happy Birthday SAFEChild

On Saturday, we went to a 15th Birthday Party for SAFEChild (Stop Abuse For Every Child). We had a blast jumping, playing and eating! Clowns made cool balloons... he couldn't keep his out of his mouth so the bear never made it to the car!
The cake was a hit for the boy!
She was ( and still is) very proud of her heart balloon.
