Pullen Park

After playing in the drizzle in the backyard (which was a blast for them!) what a treat it was to go to Pullen Park! We had a picnic and played ball in the open grass.
Rode ALL of the bouncey "things".

Finally posed for mommy!! How sweet and so worth the wait!

Ready for a train ride.

Waving to daddy as he drove the boat.
It was a great day to be outside after all!!!

NRCA Football

As most of you know, one of his "things" right now is football. He loves to tackle anybody or anything! We wanted him to see a game but avoid crowds and the language sometimes associated with sports. So we all went to a christian school close by (one we pray they will be able to attend) to see live football... we actually tried this a few weeks back but it was cold and rainy so it only lasted about 35 minutes! But Saturday night was awesome. It was homecoming so we sat on the visitors side which was way less crowded. Everything was great, she cheered and danced while he focused on the game until halftime... now do you remember the Mudcats game and the fireworks drama? We'll after the queen was named can you guess was was right behind our bleachers? Yes, fireworks!! and I mean real, professional fireworks!! However, he covered his ears and did a super job! That shows you how much he likes football. When he is grown-up he will " be a doctor and play pirate (ECU) football" She enjoyed the cheerleaders and band. She will "be a nurse and cheerleader" when she grows up! I can hardly believe she will be in kindergarten next year let alone "grown-up".
The band was great and despite him holding his ears very enjoyable.
The view was better up there!

Fun, Family and Football = FALL!! GO KNIGHTS!!!

Harvest Festival

Our church offers an awesome alternative to Halloween... the Harvest Festival. It is an outreach to the community and so much fun. There were games, food and FUN!!! This year she was very interested in playing all of the games... was it the fun or candy after?
He liked this since Daniel and the Lions Den is one of his favorite Bible stories.

She carefully chose her costume so she could do this huge slide...really!

Look how cute. He stuck his little hand in his pocket naturally when he got out of the car! My two guys look so handsome in their Levi's.

Again, these were posted in reverse order so here they are in the driveway before we left! We found his Sword of the Spirit Friday morning while at Lifeway getting "prizes" for doing so well at our Flu Mist appointment - good timing!!!

Preschool Fall Festival

Here are some highlights from the Fall Festival at preschool today ( for some reason the pictures are not in the order I selected them so if it seems random... its the computer I promise!) Here she is marching in the parade looking a touch happy!

They had a big surprise when daddy came to the parade. Then got to show them all of the treats/prizes they had collected throughout the day.
I had the chance to watch his class play the games in the gym while I volunteered to man the bounce house. His favorite game was this bowling game. Look at that focus!! And can you believe that he wore the mask almost the whole time!

Getting Ready

Today was the Fall Festival at preschool. It was the quickest day yet of getting dressed. They were very excited to show their friends their costumes. He was Bibleman and she was a beautiful fairy.
He likes to quote Bibleman... "I defeat evil with the word of God". What a wonderful piece of knowledge to know at 2! He and daddy went looking for a Bibleman sword this weekend but could find one. Incase you were wondering... its the sword of the spirit not a true weapon.

Fairies don't get any more sweet than this!

Sweet Little Pumpkins

Today we took a special snack for his class or has he says "my friends." Yummy, I like how pumpkins taste!

Just a shot to prove they were homemade with help from sister who talked me into making them for her class this week too.
