Winter Break at the Beach

Each year our elementary school gets a winter break at the end of Februrary. This year we made our third trip to Myrtle Beach to this wonderful place we found! It has everything we need to enjoy ourselves and relax!!

There was plenty of

playing & splashing,

tons of chillin,

and too many trips down the waterslides to count!!

Yep, even lil sis took a solo trip down one of the smallers ones!

Lots of posing,

game playing,

and crafting!!!

All of these activites made the down time in our condo even more special!

Then of course there was the beach....a family favorite any season!!

On the way home we made our anual stop by the battleship.

We did have much time here but its cool to compare the pictures!

I am so very thankful for this special time God gave us to slow down and just hang out together without laundry, phones, dishes, parties, games....

Today was picture day at preschool and lil sis was super excited!

She spotted these at Target and HAD to have them...look how proud she was!

Snow just the way mommy likes it...quick!

The children have never been huge on playing in snow. Maybe because we don't get much or maybe because we don't have the best equipment? Well this year we ready.  I mean bibs, waterproof gloves, and saucers for each child!  Of course this meant no real snow!

But today we enjoyed what we had a few minutes before school!

Heart Attack

Happy Valentine's Day

This day has not trationally been that exciting for us...until the children got old enough to realize treats usually are given on this day!  We have always gotten take out to enjoy (even before children we went out on the 13th to avoid th hupla!) and for 21 years I have gotten flowers from my love. 

So far everyone is still OK with homemade valentines for their friends.  So much fun to make and super cute.  This years were the best yet in my opinion!

Here's the Heart Attack part :)

I saw this idea and thought it would be fun.  We worked while they slept to surprise them with love notes.  The children were thrilled to see & read them. 

This will be back next year for sure!!

And of course there's the chocolate....what a great way to start the day!!

 Each child  had a celebration at school as well.

Lil sis' was on Monday and of course I dropped by for the fun!!  On of the many perks of my job :)!!



Lil sis and I joined brother at his celebration upon his requested.

Big sis requested we not come  :(...I might would have anyway but lil sis isn't allowed in the classroom and I think her's is in the classroom later in the day. 

Yes, that time has come for me to stay way :(.

A bonus for lil sis was that it was her favorite day of the week..."Jump, Jump" day!!

So like many other areas of our lives...children make everything more fun!!!

First Lost Tooth

This handsome guy has been working a loose tooth for a few weeks now. 

When he got in the car after school he told me that it had been bleeding and I knew it wasn't long.  It was a bit worried about not finding his tooth once it feel out...too many stories I guess.  So he walked around all afternoon drooling and making strange noises so he wouldn't swallow his tooth.  Mommy may or may not have accidently knocked his hand into his chin right before it popped loose.  He was thrilled!!  I am not sure if he was happy it fell out or that he could eat!!!

The next one is only a few days away!
