Time with Grandparents
All of the grandparents were going to be in the same county the week after Christmas this year so we changed up our traveling traditions and went "home" Christmas afternoon.
First stop and "home base" was Grandma's house.
The children loved being at Grandma's!
It is nice to go back to the coast and breath the salt air...aahhh!!
Our second stop was Granddad Foster's house.
They enjoyed his dogs, a holiday movie and yummy lunch.

The warms cookies and presents were a hit as well.
Our third stop was at Granny and Granddaddy's time share. They decided to come to the beach for the week to see their siblings and friends. This made fun for us all. We visited, had seafood, swam in the indoor pool and took a walk on the beach. And of course more presents!!
How cute...two Pauls!!!
Fijits, Fatheads, Princesses galore and she has the best nap of the week in daddy's lap!
We are so thankful that all of our parents are so healthy and enjoy spoiling our children.
It was nice to celebrate this special season with each of them.

Christmas Morning
After sleeping until 7:30ish...
We read the Christmas story from the book of Matthew...
and got down to business!
The children have always just loved to open their stockings. We usually visit their grandparent (who give them their top/biggest items) first so I thought this was one reason they enjoyed this so much. But I was wrong! This was the first thing they wanted to look at!
Buying the goodies was almost as fun as their reactions!
Then on to their three gifts.
All she asked for was books and a Justin Bieber singing doll.
A December birthday makes this guy even harder to shop for!
Lil sis caught on fast and had so much fun!!!
Even with all the fun new "stuff", the bubble wrap around daddy's was the most fun!
It was a wonderful, happy morning at home before the traveling began.
Merry Christmas 2011!
Merry Christmas!!!
"For unto you is born this day
in the city of David
a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you:
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying,
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Luke 2:11-14

Cupcake Tradition
Its nice when you pick your child's friend and they grow to really like each other.
When I was pregnant with brother, I met an amazing lady with a little girl who was also pregnant with a boy...little did we know what fun was ahead...
Here they are 6 1/2 years later!!!!
This year they invited us to join their cupcake decorating tradition.
It was so much fun! Can't wait to do it again!
The girls were about the design and detail....
while the boys were all about home much they could fit on one cupcake!
Lil sis was glad to taste test!
The highlight of the event was hearing her sing Happy Birthday Jesus on her own!
Jesus is the focus of the season for our family but things get busy, we haven't done the devotions nightly like I'd hoped to...but at the tender age of 2 years 5 months she gets it!!
