Happy 6th Birthday Babycakes!
Oh what fun birthdays are at the Foster house... and everywhere!
Our sweet girl is six years old today. I still vividly remember the first time she looked at me with those deep brown eyes... still brings tears to my eyes!
Six is great! We have conversations and she is so very independent!
Five was fun too... she lost her first tooth, got her first placement ribbon for swimming, became a big sis again, started Kindergarten, was baptized, survived a nasty car accident, learned to read, learned to count to 100 & beyond, and so many other wonderful things! She amazes us daily with her wealth of knowledge. She has been blessed with intelligence, compassion and beauty!

She chose the birthday hat over the 100th day one... good choice!

Look her cool 100 shirt... she did it alone. Mommy bit her tongue and let her do a rectangle instead of another shape or design :)!
Just thought this was a pretty shot!

She chose Amante Pizza for lunch.

He thought that was good and even got chicken on his pizza today.

Look at that... a total flashback for me! Look at them feature by feature... so much alike. The round nose, the slight dimple in chin, eye brows, checks... just perfect each one!!!

While we were busy at school the grandparents were busy at home. Grandma helped mommy out and made a special cake since the party and cupcakes have to wait until next weekend!

There are 100 Kindergartners at her school and they each released a balloon. Each balloon had a tag with the school's address and information.
They hope to get letters from far away... like VA :)!

Our sweet girl... no words can express our love for you!
We are so thankful God chose us to be your parents!
We could not be more proud!

Getting ready for her 6 month pictures... cutie pie! Don't you just love the ebay dress? Please tell daddy how much :)!

She has actually begun napping really well in the mornings in her bed... I have had to wake her a few times...these are just before I woke her and 2 hours after I put her down!

Six Months Old
Happy Six Months Baby Girl!!!
What amazing joy she has brought to our lives the past six months. She has settled into a semi routine... still not many long stretchs at night but I am happy for the few I have gotten and know more will come...soon I pray! She is smiley and loves to watch her siblings and the dog. Bath time has a new rival... food. If she fusses its food or sleep she needs and if I look at her and say "eat" she begins to quiver all over just like the word "bath" does! She is adventurous with the food and eat well. I believe she will again be off the charts at her six month check up. Her Carolina shirt she is sporty was worn by big sis when she was walking at one!!!
Here is her latest "trick". She has been sitting with less and less
support and now can do small stretches alone... a whole new world is opening for her... and us.
She doesn't mind her tummy as much any more and rolls all over a room. She has even been spotted trying to get her knees under her with her bum in the air a bit... oh my!!

Mild Temps = Outside Time
After a couple of weeks of really cold weather we have really enjoyed the mild temps this week. We have spent lots of time at parks and in the driveway... so nice! He is finally enjoying the new outside gifts he got in December.

Weekend Happenings
Weekends bring family fun time...

Her first time in a restaurant highchair. She still fits in the new (bigger) infant carrier but not so happy there outside of van so I thought we'd give this a try. She's very close to sitting alone and this gave her just the right amount of support!
Graham crackers are expected now...spoiled!

LOVE SWEET LOVE

Saturday night brought a campout (or maybe we should say campin) on the third floor with Grandma joining the fun. He is showing her his ECU program. Five dollars well spent - he can name most players by face and or number! Football is really helping him with double digit numbers!!

On Saturday, mommy left for a bit. Daddy and the children were going to leave on an adventure but it was so nice outside they stayed home and played with things we haven't since in awhile!

I was glad to see Daddy covered little sis up... but with a beach towel? especially one that most likely wasn't clean... oh my, I'm not complaining b/c I had a great day away!!
OK, I just threw this one in here for fun. Thursday morning we left for preschool in a hurry and little sis stayed in her PJ's. We came back home to change before running a few errands. I laid her down to get my things together and look what she did. I guess I should start rethinking my mornings and give her some nap time!?!?!
